An open day for people interested in adopting a child in Bromley will be held on Saturday at The Churchill Theatre.

The borough’s adoption service is looking for prospective adopters who are patient and adaptable, as well as practically and emotionally prepared to take on the responsibility of looking after a child.

Information will be handed out about the process from experienced team members who are on hand to advise and support potential parents.

Cllr Robert Evans, executive member for care, said: “Many people from a variety of backgrounds and walks or life choose to provide a happy, loving home by adopting a child.

“Bromley’s Adoption Team are here to help those interested through the process which can seem daunting at times, but the rewards for both the child and the family outweigh any of the challenges.”

The open day will run from 10am to 1pm at The Churchill Theatre, in Bromley High Street. For more information, call 020 8313 4193, or email
