A pair of accountants will run, swim and cycle for charity as they take on the gruelling Virgin Active London Triathlon this month.
Geoff Fleet, 52, and Tom Doane, 23, both work at Bristol Street Motors, in Masons Hill, Bromley, will take on the challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan nurses supported Geoff’s mum before she died of cancer in 2005, and he has been no strangers to fundraising since.
In April last year he completed a 100km London to Brighton walk in 27 hours, raising £800 for charity.
He said: “I was looking for a big challenge, and one that people would think was enough of a challenge to donate to. The treatment that was shown to my mum was very good by the nurses.
“Tom saw a Macmillan advert in the newspaper and decided to join me, which is great news as hopefully we will be able to raise even more money now.”
Both men will take on a one mile swim, before embarking on a 25km bike ride and a 10km run in the hope of raising £1,500 on July 27.
