Two years on from a life-changing cancer diagnosis, one Beckenham woman is getting ready to take on a 20-mile walk.

Zoelee Worsley was preparing for her wedding when, in March 2015, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, a month before her big day.

She was forced to cancel her Las Vegas wedding to partner, Alex, and went through eight rounds of chemotherapy to beat the disease.

Now the social media manager is taking on a 20 mile walk to raise money for Breast Cancer Care, the charity that supported her through treatment.

“I was sitting on the watching television and just happened to rub the side of my left breast, I felt a big lump and immediately thought I had cancer,” explained Miss Worsley.

The diagnosis led the 39-year-old to completely change her diet and she has since become a vegan.

Eight years since getting engaged, Zoe, as she’s commonly known, continues to have her partner right beside her, and they are hoping to tie the knot soon.

“I walked 10 miles with my partner at the Pink Ribbonwalk last year,” she said.

“This year, we wanted even more of a challenge. It’s a great opportunity to thank Breast Cancer Care for all their support.”

The London at Night Pink Ribbonwalk takes place on July 1 this year, and sees participants walk past London landmarks including St Paul’s Cathedral and Big Ben.
