Boy hurt by hit and run biker

A FOUR-YEAR-OLD boy was knocked down by a hit and run motorcyclist riding illegally through an alleyway. The incident happened when a 25-year-old mum was walking in the passageway between Sevenoaks Way and Main Road, St Paul s Cray, on Sunday at 3.50pm

A FOUR-YEAR-OLD boy was knocked down by a hit and run motorcyclist riding illegally through an alleyway.

The incident happened when a 25-year-old mum was walking in the passageway between Sevenoaks Way and Main Road, St Paul's Cray, on Sunday at 3.50pm with her twin children who were pedalling on scooters.

A black off-road mini moto came speeding along the alleyway and struck the little boy, sending him and his scooter flying five feet.

The rider skidded and fell off the motorcycle, before looking at the boy who was unconscious and bleeding and getting up and fleing the scene on the motorcycle towards Main Road.

The boy was taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup and scans revealed that he was not seriously injured.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident, but was released without charge.

The suspect is white, aged around 18 to 20 with brown hair. He was of thin build and wearing denim trousers, a dark blue top and may have had on a brown jacket on.
