A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the manslaughter of Bromley teen George Verrier.

The youngster, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested in connection with his death on September 1. He will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on November 11.

Mr Verrier died in the early hours of Sunday, September 1 after police were called to reports of an altercation involving around 20 people in Southborough Road, at the junction with Blenheim Road.

Officers administered first aid to the teenager who had been assaulted on his way home from a party in Blenheim Road - though he declined going to a local hospital.

At around 9.30am, police were called again to reports of the same teen found unconscious at an address in Ferndale. He was taken to an east London hospital, but died just after 6pm.
