Pupils at Oaklands Primary School in Biggin Hill have had their hard work recognised as the end of term approaches.

Headteacher Becky Sharp presented academic excellence awards to Year 6 pupils Rhys Sleeman, 11, and Charlotte Brewster, 10.

Miss Sharp said: “It was a tough decision and there were many bright sparks to choose from, but Rhys and Charlotte have, this term, demonstrated a really fantastic learning attitude, real early progress towards some extremely challenging targets.”

She commended the hard work of all Year 6 pupils, who had the fruits of their labours put on display at the school’s Christmas fair earlier this month.

Also in the school’s festive diary have been carol concerts, Christmas productions, Munchkin markets and writing letters to Father Christmas.
