Biggin Hill Airport has a new director in the form of Robert Walters, whose promotion comes after seven years with the company.

Robert, 36, will continue to lead the sales and marketing of the airport, carrying on from his role of business development manager.

He joined Biggin Hill Aiport in 2006, having begun his career at Wellmarine, a Lloyds of London broker.

Andrew Walters, chairman of the airport, said: “Robert has made a great contribution to the development of our business and his knowledge and enthusiasm for this specialist sector of civil aviation is boundless.

“I am delighted that he will join us on the board as we plan the next stage of Biggin Hill’s development into a world class business aviation airport for London.

“He has really earned his spurs and like any father, I am very proud and pleased to have him in the family business.”
