A new timber trail and turf pitch have been installed

Break times at Bickley Park School have seen a change for students, with two new additions to the school play ground.

A timber trail and astro turf pitch were installed at the boys’ prep school over the summer.

The trail includes climbing walls, a rope swing, cargo nets and balance bars.

Head teacher Patrick Wenham said: ““It’s been great to see the pupils enjoying the astro turf pitch and outdoor timber trail – both have been a real hit. The astro turf is a completely new addition for the boys, who previously played hockey on a playground.

“The timber trail is always busy at break times, allowing pupils to burn off excess energy so they are then focussed for classes. And the outdoor classroom provides a wonderful, original environment for inspiring classes themed around the outdoors.”
