Four teenage girls mugged a 53-year-old woman in Bickley before fleeing when a bus driver interrupted the attack.

Police have released CCTV images of four teens they would like to speak to in connection with the mugging, on March 8.

The victim had walked from Bickley Station along Southbrough Road before turning into Hawthorne Road when she was approached by four teens, all thought to be aged 16 to 18.

They threatened her and demanded her shoulder bag before grabbing it from her.

A passing bus driver stopped when he saw the attack and the girls ran towards Bickley Station, dropping the victim’s bag in a bin on the way.

The first suspect was light-skinned mixed race, about 5ft 4ins tall, with a ‘mean, hard, weasely face’.

She spoke with a ‘bland South East’ accent and was wearing a knitted top, dark drainpipe jeans and flat shoes.

The other three suspects were light-skinned, mixed race but roughly three to four inches taller than the first girl.
