THIS week, our Help A Pet appeal is seeking a mate for a bereaved rabbit and a foster home for an elderly cat.

Four-year-old rabbit Ernie needs a new female partner to stop him pining because he is missing the company of long-term partner Blossom, who recently died.

He is a neutered and vaccinated Netherland Dwarf and is like a little teddy bear.

Have you got a neutered female rabbit about his age that would like Ernie as a companion?

Charlie is a large 15-year-old tabby, for whom Anim-Mates is looking for a foster home. Because Charlie is a hyperthyroid cat, Anim-Mates will meet all of Charlie's vet bills for the rest of his life.

He is on medication and has to have regular blood tests so the vet can monitor his condition. A fosterer must have transport so Charlie can be taken to a vet for blood tests.

If you can help Ernie find a permanent home or give a foster home to Charlie, please call Teresa on: 020 8355 6888 or 07743 331397.

To see all of the animals currently in the care of Anim-Mates visit the website at www.anim-mates.org.uk.
