A RUNNER is set to cause quite a buzz by taking part in the London marathon dressed as a bumble bee.

Zoe Watkins, 28, from Bromley, will don the colourful costume for the 26.2 mile run on Sunday, April 26 to raise money for deafblind charity Sense.

The following month, she is set to take part in the Edinburgh marathon for the charity and hopes to raise £4,000 in total.

She said: "I am really pleased to be braving both the marathons for Sense, as it offers a vital lifeline to deafblind people, offering them support and teaching skills to live as independently as possible."

Mrs Watkins is completing her final three weeks training by running along the Thames path or around Bromley accompanied by her husband on his bicycle.
