A 16-year-old Beckenham schoolgirl has died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening.

Emergency services were called to Stanhope Grove just after 10.30pm where they treated the Langley Park student, named locally as Arabella Campbell.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to an address in Stanhope Grove, Beckenham, at 10.38pm.

“Our staff treated the patient who was in cardiac arrest and she was taken as a priority to Croydon University Hospital.”

Police have confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Tributes have flooded through on social media, with friends sharing memories and messages on Twitter. @amsilling said: “arabella campbell i will never forget you as long as i live and i will never stop loving you my gorgeous best friend xxxxxxxxx”

Staff and pupils were told of Arabella’s death yesterday at her school, in Hawksbrook Lane, Beckenham.
