Beckenham play centre seeks new start after stormy winter

An indoor play centre is to re-open after undergoing rebuilding work following flood and storm damage during the winter.

Gambado Beckenham, in Copers Cope Road, will open again on Friday (4) providing building work finishes on time.

A raft of changes means the site has set of “glistening new facilities”, according to managment.

Roemello Price, 36, the site’s general manager, said: “It was a bit of a shock when I received a phone call on Christmas Eve [about the flooding].”

“People tend to have one of two outlooks on things either the glass is half full or half empty.

“To me the damage we suffered due to the storm helps us to improve our offering to our customers.”

Diversity’s Perri Kiely and Jordan Banjo who will be officially opening the revamped site on Saturday.
