A COUPLE accused of having sex on a Dubai beach will learn their fate next Thursday.

Vince Acors, 34, from Bromley, and Michelle Palmer, 36, from Rutland, deny allegations of unmarried intercourse and public indecency.

Their hearing had been listed to take place on Tuesday but prosecutors at Dubai's Court of First Instance confirmed on Monday that the case was to be delayed.

Senior prosecutor Faisal Abdelmalek Ahli, of Dubai Public Prosecution, said the pair would find out the verdicts next Thursday.

Mr Acors and Miss Palmer met at an all-you-can-drink champagne brunch at Dubai's Le Meridien hotel hours before their arrest on July 5.

Prosecutors claim they were seen having sex but Hassan Matter, defending, insists they are innocent.
