THE return of a father spared jail in Dubai has been delayed by two weeks because government workers are on holiday.

Businessman Vince Acors, 34, of Homesdale Road, Bromley, was hoping to come back to the UK last Friday but his homecoming has been stalled for a 'frustrating' fortnight.

Mr Acors was ordered to be deported from the UAE last Tuesday when a judge upheld an appeal against a three month prison sentence for having sex with fellow Brit Michelle Palmer on a beach in the Muslim state.

His London solicitor Andrew Crossley said: "There has been a two week delay because government workers are on a two week holiday.

"It is very frustrating, but when they are back on December 14, Vince and Michelle will be processed by the prison authorities in readiness for deportation at that time. Hopefully he will return on December 16.
