Children’s charity Barnardo’s are relaunching a fundraising event, which last year saw nurseries across Bromley raise £3,195.

The Big Toddle, is a half-mile walk, by nurseries, playgroups and preschools, which raises money for the charity to continue support for chlidren, young people and families.

This year’s sponsored walk will run from June 19-25, and has a ‘colours’ theme. It is also teaming up with the Teletubbies as both the TV characters and the charity are celebraing their 20th anniversary this year. Since 1997, the Big Toddle has raised £14.5 milion.

Barnardo’s chief executive, Javed Khan, said: “A huge thank you to everyone in Bromley who will be taking part in this year’s event. Last year the event raised enough money to help transform the lives of the most vulnerable children in the country.”
