FIRE crews battled for over five hours to bring a blaze at a farm barn full of machinery under control. Six fire engines and around 30 firefighters fought the inferno at the farm on Cudham Road, Orpington last Thursday at 9.10pm for five hours. A fire

FIRE crews battled for over five hours to bring a blaze at a farm barn full of machinery under control. Six fire engines and around 30 firefighters fought the inferno at the farm on Cudham Road, Orpington last Thursday at 9.10pm for five hours. A fire brigade spokesman said: "Fire crews worked hard to relay water to the incident and managed to salvaged machinery from the hay barn. Half of the 50 metre by 20 metre barn was damaged by fire."

Fire crews from Biggin Hill, Orpington, Bromley and Addington fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
