An armed robbery at a Beckenham bookmakers has led police to a £1 million drugs stash.

A 25-year-old, from Beckenham, was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery by MPS Flying Squad and Bromley police after the incident at Paddy Power, in Beckenham High Street, on Saturday morning.

Officers searched two addresses after the arrest, in Hayes Way and Kelsey Lane, where they uncovered a substantial amount of Class A and Class B drugs.

The street value is thought to be around £1 million.

The 25-year-old was further arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
