A man was arrested after armed police stormed an address in Beckenham this morning.

He was detained after Bromley police and officers from the Met’s Trident Gang Crime Command executed a search warrant in Blandford Road.

Trident officers tackle gang-related crime and are responsible for the prevention and investigation of all shootings in the capital.

A police helicopter also assisted with this morning’s operation before leaving at 10.20am.

A police spokesman said enquiries are still ongoing.
