Appeal after two teens stabbed on Halloween

Officers continue to appeal for witnesses after two youths were stabbed.

Two teenagers were stabbed in the Queens Mead Recreation Ground just before midnight on October 31.

A 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries to the abdomen and a 16-year-old boy was found with a stab wound to his leg.

They were both taken to hospital, where the 16-year-old was discharged and the 17-year-old remains in a stable condition.

Ten boys have been arrested in connection with this incident so far.

Four of them are 16-years-old, four are 15-years-old, one is aged 14 and one is aged 13.

All have subsequently been bailed until December 1.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers will be at the location this evening conducting witness appeals.

Det Insp Linda Leicester said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who has any information to come forward and speak to us.

“All information received will be treated in the strictest confidence”
