A FIVE-DAY anti-terrorism exercise was held at a sports centre to practise procedures for an attack.

The multi-agency event, which includes police and fire services is taking place at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. It started on Monday and lasts until tomorrow.

Parts of the Crystal Palace complex will be cordoned off to rehearse procedures should the capital suffer a terrorist attack.

It is being partially funded by the European Commission and will involve participants and observers from a range of EU countries who will be sharing techniques.
