A fire that broke out in a recycling plant yesterday, has rekindled this morning.

Fire fighters from Eltham, Sidcup, Orpington, and Beckenham have been attending to a waste disposal centre in Cornwall Drive, Orpington, since 6.36am yesterday.

It is believed a small section of a 5,000 ton pile of rubbish is on fire and 21 fire fighters and officers are at the scene.

A jet hose and a closed water circuit relay are being used, but the cause of the fire is still unknown.
