A CHARITY has been described as 'excellent' in an external audit.

Age Concern Bromley, which looks after the interests of elderly residents, retained the external quality mark from the Legal Services Commission for its provision of information, advice and case work for older people.

The audit included an off site review of documentation and two-day on-site inspection of central registers, a review of client case records and staff interviews.

The Quality Mark auditor reported at the end of the visit: "Age Concern Bromley is an excellent organisation which delivers its aims in a very effective way. They are a great bunch of people and a credit to the whole of the organisation's leadership and management. My abiding memory is the dedication shown at all levels with a total emphasis on the client coming first."

The charity looks after housing issues, health and social care, family matters and leisure and social activities for older people.

Age Concern Bromley's Director, Maureen Falloon, said: "We are delighted that our work continues to be recognised in this way.
