ACTOR Lee Mead is backing the Great Daffodil Appeal for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

He is joined by the cast of Lord Arthur Savile's Crime in appealing for support in Bromley next month for the campaign.

Volunteers will be in the borough during March asking shoppers and residents to make a donation in return for a daffodil pin badge.

Nationwide, Marie Curie hopes to raise £5 million to fund free nursing care for those with a terminal illness in their own home or at one of the charity's hospices.

The organisation is also looking for dance clubs of types to join the daffodil dance. For more information visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/daffodildance.
