A free service to provide cancer advice and support is coming to the borough next week for two sessions.

Macmillan’s mobile service will be in Bromley High Street, outside H&M on Wednesday, September 13 from 10am to 4pm.

Specialists in the disease are touring the country to answer questions and provide information, encouraging anyone with worries relating to cancer to stop by.

The team also highlights the financial impact of the disease, with a spokesperson saying: “If you’ve been affected by cancer, your finances might not be your first thought.

“But many people are faced with extra costs they hadn’t considered, Macmillan research shows that 83 per cent of people are, on average, £570 a month worse off because of a cancer diagnosis. This is often due to being unable to work and having increased costs such as travel to hospital or increased fuel bills.”

The tour will visit Crystal Palace National Sports Centre on Thursday, September 14 from 10am to 4pm.
