A broken down train is causing problems for Orpington and Sidcup services

Disruption is expected to last until later this afternoon

Passengers on board Southeastern services are being warned of a broken down freight train disruption services this afternoon.

The break down has happened between Lewisham and Hither Green, causing delays and changes to services.

Services from London towards Orpington and Sidcup will no longer be able to stop at Lewisham during the disruption.

A spokesperson from Southeastern said: “If you are on a train that is unable to stop at Lewisham, please travel to Hither Green and change there for a train back to Lewisham. If you are at Lewisham travelling towards Orpington or Sidcup you will need to take a train to St Johns or London Bridge and change there for a train back towards Orpington & Sidcup.

“You can use your ticket on the Docklands Light Railway between Lewisham, Woolwich Arsenal & Greenwich at no extra cost.”
