£350,000 drugs haul man guilty

AN UNEMPLOYED man pleaded guilty to trafficking four kilos of cocaine with a street value £350,000 the day after he was arrested.

Terence Pooke, 45, from Rotherithe, admitted he pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply at Bromley Magistrates Court last Thursday.

The day before police found the drugs hidden under the passenger of his car on the A21 Bromley Hill.

Detective Inspector Grant Johnson, from the Serious Organised Crime Command, said: "This is a significant amount of cocaine that we have seized in the operation and as a result prevented from reaching London's streets."

Pooke will be sentenced at Croydon Crown Court on a date to be set.
