20 firefighters tackle blaze in Chislehurst

Cause of blaze that damaged classrooms and he gymnasium is being investigated

Around 20 firefighters were called to a fire at sa chool on Perry Street in Chislehurst last night (Wednesday).

The fire damaged a gymnasium and classrooms on two floors and part of the building’s external cladding. Guttering was also damaged in the blaze.

Firefighters and four fire engines from Sidcup and Bromley fire stations attended the incident.

The brigade was called at just after 10pm and the fire was under control at by 10.40pm.

The cause is under investigation.
