Tom Chance says building on the hilltop is a "terrible idea"

The Greens have announced their candidate for the Lewisham West and Penge constituency – and he has pledged to conserve Crystal Palace park.

Candidate Tom Chance said: “With ZhongRong gone, we have a chance for the community to lead any investments in and improvements to our park.

“As your MP I would champion it as a park and wildlife habitat, a sporting facility, and an internationally important heritage site, and resist this terrible idea that the hill top is a building site.”

The Greens are also pledging to reduce traffic on main roads, renationalise the railways, keep the NHS out of private hands, provide more social housing and give private tenants a better deal.
