Steve Backshall has come face-to-face with some of the world’s fiercest creatures

BAFTA award-winning TV presenter Steve Backshall will recount tales of his nail-biting adventures on a tour of the UK this autumn.

The children’s author and all round dare-devil, who presents BBC 2’s Steve Backshall’s Extreme Mountain Adventure, will share stories from expeditions, face-to-face wildlife encounters and jaw-dropping moments.

His current TV series sees him undertake one of his most dramatic and dangerous expeditions to date as explores Venezuela’s tepuis, the ancient, sheer-sided mountains of Canaima National Park, where he attempts the first ascent of the tepui in search of wildlife on the summit.

In a recent six-part series for ITV, Fierce, the intrepid Backshall sought out the world’s fiercest animals.

The new tour, Wild World, promises to give his audiences a glimpse behind the scenes into what he claims is ‘the best job in the world’.

It accompanies the release of a new book, ‘Shark Seas’ - the fourth book in the Falcon Chronicles series of children’s novels, which will be available to buy at each of the venues.

Backshall will appear at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre on October 26. Tickets are on sale now.
