OSCAR Wilde's popular The Importance of Being Earnest is to be staged by Theatre 62 from next Monday.

The play, set in 1895, tells the tale of two young gentlemen who use the same pseudonym (Ernest) on the sly which proves troublesome when they fall in love with women.

The comedy of mistaken identities is at the Wickham Theatre Centre in Corkscrew Hill, West Wickham until Saturday, June 28.

Tickets are £5 on Monday and £6 all other evenings with performances at 7.45pm.
