AN adaptation of Romeo and Juliet by Ahmmad Makaddar begins at the Erith Playhouse in Erith High Street until October 3. Following on from the Shakespeare tragedy, the venue will host a family saga where memory plays a key role. The Memory of Water by Shelagh Stephenson is a funny and though provoking play about the impact of memory. It centres on three very different and self-centred sisters who come together on the eve of their mother's funeral. As they discuss their past, each vie to be portray themselves as the most damaged from their childhood. The play is on from October 19 to 24.
