Never Forget, the new musical about a Take That tribute band which is currently occupying the Savoy, is to transfer to the Lyric theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue for an open-ended run from 20 November.

The musical celebrated its 100th performance at the Savoy on 1 August, after opening there in May this year following a UK tour. Its producers had previously announced their intention to find a permanent London home for the show at the end of its limited season at the Savoy.

Written by Danny Brocklehurst (Shameless), Guy Jones and Ed Curtis, Never Forget tells the story of Mancunian friends Ash and Jake, who join a Take That tribute band in order to win a contest and help Ash's mum pay off her spiralling debts.

Never Forget plays at the Savoy until 15 November, before performances resume at the Lyric on 20 November.
