CHILDREN will be performing in one of Britain's best loved musicals.

Thirty children from Bexley, Bromley, Dartford and Greenwich, will be starring in Oliver! at Erith Playhouse from next Monday (June 30) until Saturday, July 5.

The part of the orphan Oliver is shared by Bexley school boys Jordan Flowers, 10, and Joseph Thompson-Oubari, 13.

Youngsters Daniel Bridle and Luke Higgins share the role of the Artful Dodger.

The part of Bill Sykes' dog Bullseye will be played by Chunks, an experienced canine thespian from Rochester making his debut on the Playhouse stage.

The Playhouse will reverberate with the familiar songs and dances to the music of Food, Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, As Long as He Needs Me, I'd do Anything and Who Will Buy.

Performances run Monday to Saturday at 8pm with a matinee at 3pm on Saturday.

Tickets are £8.50 and are available from the box office on 01322 350345 or www.playhouse.org.uk/tickets.
