* CHEKHOV'S The Cherry Orchard is at The Bob Hope Theatre until this Saturday.
After a break from Chekhov for almost 40 years, the Eltham Theatre in Wythfield Road presents his tragi-comedy masterpiece full of eccentric characters, laughter and pathos.

Alan Ayckbourn's A Chorus of Disapproval is at the WI Hall in Ash Road, Hartley until March 15. Directed by Nick Noakes, the action centres around a production of The Beggar's Opera by the Pendon Light Opera Company and tells of how a shy young newcomer who progresses from a one-line part to play the leading role of Macheath whilst having an affair with the director's wife.
