A MUSICAL based on the heart-wrenching love story of a funnyman director and his star comedienne is at the Broadway Studio from next Wednesday.

Following their production of Oklahoma in June, director Thom Southerland and producer Martin Costello bring another Broadway great Mack and Mabel to the Catford theatre.

Out of the Silent Movie era and the heady heights of 1920s Hollywood, the

classic musical tells of how a tempestuous relationship begins when 'hash-slinger' Mabel Normand turns up on the set of filmmaker Mack Sennett, creator of the Keystone Cops.

Showing until Sunday, December 7, tickets are £8 to £12 (£7 for school groups with teachers going free).
