AN ARTS Council is calling for entries to their spoken word competition.

The 'Words, Words, Words' competition, hosted by the Arts Council of Bexley, is open to adults, youngsters and children between school years six and nine.

Entries can be in original poetry writing, solo and duologues, prose reading, limericks, original parodies and school group performances among others.

Due to take place on Saturday, May 9, the competition will run from 10am to 3pm at the Hurst Community Centre in Hurst Road, Bexley.

Winners will be invited to an awards ceremony in September and the overall winner will be handed a special prize.
