A LONG friendship is tested in The Old Ladies, opening at Erith Playhouse next Monday.

Set at Christmas time in the 1920s, it tells the story of Lucy and May, who are happy to help a friend in need during impoverished times.

But that all changes when the manipulative and brooding Agatha arrives and threatens to shatter their friendship.

Performances run Monday to Saturday at 8pm. Tickets are £7.50 from the box office on 01322 350345 or at www.playhouse.org.uk/tickets.
