A DANCE class for young people has proved such a hit that it is expanding due to increased attendances.

The EZ Stepz class at White Oak Leisure Centre, Hilda May Avenue, Swanley which feature modern choreographed street dance will split into two age groups.

Due to start today (Jan 14) is a new class for 8 to 11-year-olds, from 5pm to 6pm, and 12 to 15-year-olds will be taught from 6pm to 7pm.

Elaine Bracken, Sevenoaks district council cabinet member for healthy living, said: "These term-time classes are the ideal after school or evening activity for anyone with an interest in dance. They are a great way to have fun and make new friends, and, as you can tell, are already hugely popular."

Classes cost £1 and have been organised by Sevenoaks council in partnership with Sencio Community Leisure. They are funded by NHS West Kent as part of the National Choosing Health agenda, which aims to make healthy choices easier.
