A SMALL-SCREEN star will make his pantomime debut after a 13-year, advertising-only career.
The British bulldog puppet from the Churchill insurance advertisements is set to appear in Cinderella, at the Orchard Theatre from Saturday, December 5, to January 10.
He is appearing alongside Lesley Joseph, from sitcom Birds of a Feather, who stars as the Fairy Godmother in the production.
The pantomime is one of 22 productions he is due to appear in this winter and it is estimated that 1.5 million people will see his stage appearances.
Pantomime producer Qdos Entertainment finally sealed the deal after six months' negotiation with Marty Hoffmann, Churchill's rights manager and effectively his agent.
Neither will reveal what the famous brown and white British bulldog is being paid.
Cinderella runs at The Orchard, Dartford, from Saturday, December 5, to Sunday, January 10, and tickets are priced from £15, with concessions available.
