‘PEOPLE’s Tenor’ Russell Watson is heading to Bromley this month, where he will perform with the South East London Rock Choir.

The Songs from the Heart tour will feature a collection of Mr Watson’s best-loved songs, plus an exclusive preview of selected tracks from his forthcoming studio album, which will be recorded in Rome later this year.

The new album will feature several original pieces co-written by Russell himself, and he will be joined by an impressive line-up of supporting musicians, as well as the orchestras of The Vatican and La Scala.

Mr Watson shot to fame in 2001, when his debut album The Voice held simultaneous number one slots in the US and UK, and spent a record-breaking 52 weeks at the top of the UK charts.

In 2015, he notched up 92 live performances, singing live to 350,000 people at US National Memorial Day in Washington DC, performing at the Caracalla Unicef Concert in Rome and BBC’s Proms In the Park.

A strong supporter of community choirs, Mr Watson will perform with a local choir at each venue on the tour.

He will be playing at The Churchill Theatre at 7.30pm on Thursday, July 14, with tickets priced at £35 to £48.50.
