The stage adaptation of David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny will be performed in Bromley during its tour.

Based on Mr Walliams’ book of the same title, which was published in 2011, the show tells the story of Ben - who discovers that his Granny has a secret and embarks on an adventure with her.

It is being staged by the Birmingham Stage Company - the producers of the Horrible Histories stage shows.

Speaking about the production, Mr Walliams said: “I am over the moon that Gangsta Granny is coming to the stage.

“It’s the most popular of all my books and I am sure this production by the brilliant Birmingham Stage Company will delight not just children but their parents and of course grandparents.”

The show will be at the Churchill Theatre from July 20 to 24.
