Pantomime season is in full swing, so who better to join the organised chaos than the West Wickham Panto Society in their 67th year.

Following on from past performances of Babes in the Wood, Cinderella and Frankenstein, the group is staging Jack and the Beanstalk.

Rehearsals are well under way for the production that will feature the giant and trademark dames, leaving the audience with tickled fe-fi-funny bones.

Co-director and dame David Warsop said: “I have played the dame five times now and enjoyed every single minute of it.

“We’re all volunteers, no one is paid, but we put on these pantos because we love it.”

The production is set to begin at Wickham Hall, in Sussex Road, on January 6 and run for 11 shows including matinees until January 12.

Tickets cost £8. To book, call the box office on 07796 816806 or visit
