The iconic National Theatre building was turned into a Fire Garden to mark the opening of the Olympics.

The World Famous Pyrotechnic Company lit the building last night, and will do so again today and on Thursday from 9.30pm to 11.30pm.

As well as celebrating the Olympic Games, the lighting is also part of the National Theatre’s summer programme National Theatre Inside Out, which finishes on September 9.

Inside Out sees a festival programme which spills out onto the theatre’s terraces and squares.
