Four bands from each of the four countries in Great Britain perform tonight to open BT London Live – free days out in London parks to celebrate the Olympic Games.

Duran Duran, from England, Paolo Nutini, from Scotland, Stereophonics, from Wales, and Snow Patrol, from Northern Ireland, will perform at the Opening Ceremony Celebration Concert, in Hyde Park.

The concert is paid-for, but it kicks starts a series of free gigs, sports, and entertainment in Hyde Park, central London, and Victoria Park, in east London, starting tomorrow (Saturday) and going on every day until the end of the Olympic Games on August 12.

Revellers can watch every medal won on giant screens from 11am till late and team GB medallists will appear in person on stages.

There will also be live music performed by some of the best of Britain’s musical acts, including Tom Jones, McFly and Ocean Colour Scene.

Other activities include fun-filled have-a-go-sports for all ages, outdoor arts, and cultural performances.

Blur, The Specials, New Order, and Bombay Bicycle Club are playing the paid-for Closing Ceremony Celebration Concert in Hyde Park on August 12. Tickets are £55.
