London’s Azania Stewart will represent Team GB’s women’s basketball squad at this summer’s Olympics.

Camden-born Stewart, 23, began playing in north London aged 13 and, after moving to an American high school, went on to make her GB debut in 2009.

She said: “I’m obviously really excited to make the final 12 because it has been a long process involving a lot of hard work.

“I’m really ecstatic. My family have their tickets and outfits ready, having faith I would make the team. I feel confident we will do the nation proud and will show everyone what we are worth.”
