The downpours could lead to surface water flooding and transport problems

Kent County Council has issued yet another yellow impact warning for rain after weeks of downpours.

Shower’s caused major disruption on roads and rail on Thursday morning, and the latest batch of heavy showers could see more than 30mm of rain fall in the space of an hour across the south east.

A spokesperson from the council said: “These showers are similar to the ones seen by many areas across SE England last night and could again lead to surface water flooding.”

Friday is expected to be mostly dry but heavy showers and thunderstorms could develop on Saturday.
