Kent is also set for strong winds of up to 50mph

Heavy rain and strong winds are set to hit Kent throughout Monday, according to the Met Office.

A yellow rain warning has been issued with heavy and possibly thundery showers likely to follow.

Strong northeasterly winds will also give gusts of up to 50mph.

In some places, up to 30mm of rain may fall in as little as three hours.

Met Office is warning that up to 60mm of rain could possibly fall locally throughout the whole of Monday.
