Public Health England has issued advice

Health experts are urging people to stay safe ahead of predicted ‘heatwave conditions’ later this week.

Today (Tuesday) is expected to bring hot conditions in the east of the country, with the Met Office warning Wednesday could get ‘very warm’ for people in Kent and London.

Dr Angie Bone is head of extreme events at Public Health England.

She said: “Much of the advice on beating the heat is common sense and for most people there’s nothing to really worry about.

“But for some people, such as older people, those with underlying health conditions and those with young children, summer heat can bring real health risks.

“The forecast suggests we may be in for some hot days and uncomfortable nights too - so now’s the time to think about how’s best to keep cool and safe.”

  • And can verys elfish dog owners keep their dogs indoors in the shade with lots of water. If you do take your dog out take a small 500ml bottle of water in your pocket use your heads please a dog dehydrates far quicker than we do and the kidneys are damaged. So STOP being selfish and use your heads please.I am fed up seeing it all along the promenades along coast. In fact stay at home with your dogs and chill its too hot for the children too even though you get bored indoors use your heads your meant to be adults?
