It’s June people...but the weather remains miserable
Forecasters are warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms sweeping across the south east tomorrow - sparking fears of some flooding and difficult driving conditions.
The Met Office has issued a yellow rain warning - which suggests there is a very low likelihood of medium impact - with ‘very heavy or torrential’ rainfall.
Some places could see 20 mm or more in the space of an hour and as much as 50 mm in the space of a few hours if one location sees several showers.
There’s also a warning of lightning strikes.
Further heavy showers are possible on Wednesday and a warning may be needed for these nearer the time but Thursday looks like being mainly dry.
Conditions turn more unsettled on Friday and through the weekend with bands of rain moving east at times.
